- The Washington Redskins were easily disposed of last night, in a 32-21 loss to the New York Giants. Chris Culliver, frequently lined up against Odell Beckham Jr. or Reuben Randle, had a rough night, with no forced turnovers or pass deflections, and just four solo tackles. The two Giants receivers, meanwhile, had a combined 14 catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Culliver will get a chance for revenge on Nov. 29, when the Giants visit Washington.
- Jadeveon Clowney received some fashion tips from teammates Brian Cushing and Vince Wilfork yesterday, and it resulted in a, uh, very nice outfit, though Clowney admitted he didn't even know why he was wearing it. Take a look:
- Alshon Jeffery may be out for this Sunday's contest between the Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks. Jeffery hasn't practiced since last Thursday, after feeling some tightness in his hamstring. While Jeffery will be traveling with the team, offensive coordinator Adam Gase described how much Alshon means to the team, and what effect his absence has. "I think he affects everybody," Gase said. "I mean, he's a difference maker. He's a big guy. You have to make sure you know where he's at. We like moving him around, putting him in different spots. That moves everybody else around, so it's hard to target who we're trying to get the ball to and who's really the main guy that week." Jeffery has five catches for 78 yards in one game this season.
- As he gets his first start of the season this Sunday, Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Jamon Meredith isn't concerned about which position on the offensive line he has to play. While he frequently plays tackle, he'll be moving to right guard for the day. “I just put a different hand down,” Meredith said Thursday. “If I’m on the right side I put my right hand down. If I’m on the left side I put my left hand down. Then I go out there and play football.” I really hope Meredith becomes a coach someday, just to hear him dispense this advice daily.
